This pond was in the rear of the store of S.D. Shaw, and later Frank O. Keith. At the right hand corner enters the brook known in the old deeds as "the brook that runneth out of the Pine Swamp." For many years this was a skating pond for neighborhood children. A building occupies the place of the old store at 378 Pleasant Street.
