This was the Nathan Alden place from 1807 to 1852. Perhaps Squire Alden built the large part of the house, and an old part on the east side may have been the house of former owners, Lazell, Shaw, Kingsley, and Bonney. The house, near 645 Summer Street, burned in 1907.
