This view was taken from the corner of Beaver cemetery looking west along Belmont Street. By the elm was the Issac Allen Jr. House on site of the house of Deacon Recompense Cary. (258 Belmont Street). In the distance is the Allen house on the hill. These houses are two of the oldest in Beaver. Through the meadow between runs the brook which "runneth from Pine Swamp." The Allen house on the hill burned in the early 1900's.
