This is the view of the church building from Church Avenue showing the rear side before the hall was added. The design of the steeple and the proportions of the church are especially pleasing. The large larch tree and the white fence are in the yard of the parsonage of the Reverand Timothy Otis Paine, the minister who began preaching in Elmwood in 1856.
