Home and store of Fred Hunting. 31 West Union St. In this store, Fred Hunting carried provisions, groceries, and meat. John DeChambeau worked for him. The store was below the street level. The family lived above in the 13-room house which at the time had been a boarding house. At that time a sign "American House" was on the front, but it was moved up the street and was for many years on the large house next to the corner building.
